Q&A
  1. Who can use the Defibtech VIEW Defibrillator?

Thanks to the Lifeline VIEW Defibrillator, everyone, from first responders to untrained bystanders, may respond confidently during an emergency. The Lifeline VIEW is the first and only AED with a full-color interactive display that offers step-by-step videos for conducting CPR, rescue breathing, and external defibrillation.  Weighing just 1.4 kg, this device is ideal for quick transportation in any scenario.

  2. Does the Defibtech VIEW Defibrillator come with a warranty?

Yes, the Defibtech VIEW Defibrillator is covered for a period of eight years from the date of purchase. The battery's limited warranty is valid for four years; however, it cannot go beyond the expiration date that is stated on the battery. Damage caused by improper use or storage, unauthorised repairs, accidental damage, fires, or floods are not covered by the warranty.

  3. What is Defib VIEW?

Defib VIEW is Windows-based software that reads and stores patient data taken at the time of the emergency. The main purpose is to enable post-event review, and therefore, it cannot be accessed while the AED is in use. The USB card in the defibrillator collects the data so that it can be analysed after the event. The software allows medical professionals to examine the event from the moment the patient was linked to the AED until the device was turned off. It also gives maintenance staff more information to help them diagnose a device that may be faulty.

  4. How do you use the Defibtech VIEW Defibrillator?

The Defibtech VIEW Defibrillator is straightforward for any user to operate in an emergency. See the simple steps below:

    1. Press the ‘ON’ button on the AED
    2. Ensure the pads are plugged in to the pad connector
    3. Apply the pads to the bare chest of the casualty
    4. Follow the clear instructions provided by the AED

The device will flash green to indicate that it is ready to use. If the defibrillator does not have a light, or flashes red, it is in need of immediate service and should not be used on a casualty. Follow the instructions on the back of the device to properly place the pads on the person.
