Q&A
  1. How long does a defibrillator's battery life last?

The battery life varies depending on the defibrillator; however, it should last 4–7 years on average. The Defibtech DDU E battery pack has a seven-year lifespan. That being said, it is critical to check your battery's performance regularly.

  2. How will I know if the battery isn't working?

As most defibrillators perform monthly self-tests, it is usually apparent when the battery in your defibrillator is faulty. If a problem arises, such as a low, empty, or faulty battery, the device informs the user by flashing a light or playing an audible alert. When turned on, defibrillators also perform a self-test before signalling that the device is ready to be used on a casualty.

  3. Which defibrillator is this battery pack designed for?

This battery is to be used with the Defibtech DDU 100 E Defibrillator. The defibrillator has a built-in metronome to assist the operator with CPR pacing, giving users the assurance they need to operate the device effectively.

  4. How do I change the battery?

The replacement of the Defibtech DDU 100 E battery is simple and straightforward. The battery is a 9-volt lithium battery that can be found inside the battery pack. The battery pack is located on the right-hand side of the defibrillator, and pressing the button should cause the pack to eject. From there, you can insert the new battery pack. It is important to note that you should only replace the battery with a new one and not one from another device or one that you think may still work.
