Yes, the Lifepak CR2 (USB) is capable of treating both adults and children. The user can choose between four different energy levels. Adults should receive 150J to 360J, while children should receive 35J to 90J. The user should press the device’s child mode button when administering a potentially life-saving treatment to a child.

It is recommended that a trained professional use the defibrillator, but if that isn’t possible, then the Lifepak CR2 (USB) is designed to be used by anyone. The device offers step-by-step instructions to assist the user through the set-up, providing clear voice prompts that adapt to your environment. The internal metronome and CPR coach guide the user through successfully giving compressions.
